Is Copenhagen City Hall a good place for wedding photos?

Short answer: Yes — Copenhagen City Hall (Københavns Rådhus) is beautiful and a classic choice, especially for international couples. But you don't need your whole shoot inside. The ceremony is short, and about 15 minutes of interior photos is enough before frames start to repeat. The magic comes from stepping out for contrast — Nyhavn, Rosenborg Castle Gardens, Christiansborg Slot, and the Garden of the Royal Library are all close and give your gallery variety and depth.

Here's the logic couples don't hear until it's too late.

Getting married at the Rådhus is a lovely tradition, and the building photographs wonderfully. But stay two hours and you get two hours of the same backdrop — grand, but one note. One couple wanted every photo inside City Hall. We did fifteen minutes there, then walked out. The images they loved most came after: the greenery of Rosenborg, the colour of Nyhavn behind them, the calm arcades near Christiansborg. Same afternoon, a completely different emotional range.

Treat City Hall as one chapter, not the whole story.
